Terms of Service
Who we are
Pagetool (pagetool.io) is a website builder and hosting service operated by Andrew McGraw, a sole proprietor based in Ohio, United States (“Pagetool”, “we”, “us”). These terms apply when you use Pagetool, buy a plan, or buy a domain through us. By using Pagetool you agree to them. Questions: 8mcgraw@gmail.com.
What Pagetool does
Pagetool lets you build a website with a visual editor or with AI, preview and share it for free, and publish it on your own domain with hosting included. Publishing on a custom domain, HTML export and some other features need a paid plan. Plans and their limits are listed on our pricing page.
Plans, billing and renewals
- Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until you cancel.
- By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method on each renewal until you cancel.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider (currently Stripe); we never see or store your full card number. At the moment we can accept cards issued in the United States only.
- Prices shown are what you pay; you are responsible for any taxes that apply to you.
Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from your account, or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future charges; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. When a plan ends, sites published under it go offline, but your designs are kept, and resubscribing brings them back.
Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of any payment, for any reason. The details are in our Refund Policy, which is part of these terms.
Purchases with their own terms
A few purchases are offered under separate terms shown at the point of purchase. Where separate terms apply, they govern that purchase together with these terms.
Domain names
Domains bought through Pagetool are registered through our registrar partners and renew while the plan or subscription that pays for them is active. If we cannot register a domain you paid for, you are refunded in full automatically.
Hosting and service limits
Hosting runs on shared infrastructure. Bandwidth, CPU and storage are shared and are not guaranteed, and we do not offer an uptime guarantee or service-level agreement. When the platform is very busy, very high-traffic sites may be served a recent saved copy for a short time. The number of published sites depends on your plan.
Your account and your content
- Keep your login secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- You own the content you create. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and process it only so we can run the service.
- Your content must not break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or contain malware, phishing, spam or abusive material.
Copyright complaints: email us with a description of the work, the URL of the content, and your contact details, and we will review it and may remove the material.
What you may not do
Do not use Pagetool for illegal purposes, to distribute malware, phishing or spam, to try to access systems without permission, to interfere with the service, or to mislead or harm others. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms or put the platform or other users at risk, and we may use automated tools to detect abuse.
Disclaimers and liability
Pagetool is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost data, revenue or profits, and you agree to cover claims arising from your content or your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
Changes and ending the service
We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page, with the date it last changed. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms. You may stop using Pagetool at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States.
